Ted and Company – Live at Music City SF |Tribute

May 31 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Tribute to The Grateful Dead

Ted & Company:

Ted & Company is a Grateful Dead cover band playing venues around the Bay Area: Peri’s, Winters Tavern, Horseshoe Tavern, Riptide, & private parties. The band has played the “Steal Your Labor Festival” for the last two years at Winters Tavern and was voted the #3 Best Dead Cover Band. They’ve also played The Warfield’s christmas party twice.

Ted Silverman, the founding member, plays electric and acoustic guitars, mandolins and bass. Ted is also one of the lead vocalists. He has played for 18 years with Bill Monroe & Her Brewglass Boys and with The Chazz Cats, among other bands.

Anthony Albert is on keys. He is a classically trained pianist and multi-instrumentalist. His repertoire of music is expansive and crosses many genres, including Rock, Jazz, Blues and Classical. He has attended Masters Camp at Sea on the Jam Cruise for five years. On the last day of the Cruise, the Masters Camp Orchestra plays a show for all attendees of the Jam Cruise. This year Anthony was asked to play solos with Andy Frasco. Anthony has been taught by Nigel Hall of Lettuce and Bonnie Hayes. He also plays for private parties and can be heard playing at Flower Piano in San Francisco every September.

Odin Berkelman-Rosado plays guitar, vocals, and occasional harmonica. Music has always been his passion. He is self-taught from an early age, in the folk tradition – the only formal music lessons he took were a couple of drum lessons at 12, before he soon picked up guitar, then bass, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and a bit of piano. He also studied in SFSU’s BECA program for audio engineering/production. He is a cofounder of SF-based independent folk-rock fusion band, Colorblind Dilemma, alongside Jerry Herrera, a fellow Ruth Asawa School of the Arts alumni, and releases solo music as Odin KBR.

Steve Tocchini plays bass and vocals, and has been playing in bands for 4 years in the Bay Area – Ted & Co. being the group he has been in the longest. He also plays with Jerry Herrera in The Mad Archaic, as well as Jerry and The Jerks, and has been involved with Colorblind Dilemma. These groups are also consistently playing in the area!

Jerry Herrera plays drums, cajon, and occasional vocals with Ted & Co, as well as guitar, bass, and piano in other projects. He is currently in five bands, and loves playing metal in his free time, especially System of a Down. He has played with Scott Guberman, a local favorite in the Dead cover band scene, and is a co-founder of Colorblind Dilemma.

Ted & Company will throw down a long set of Grateful Dead for your listening and dancing pleasure!
